Wow, I really suck at blogging! I'm great at reading other people's blogs but writing them myself, not so much.
Today I read a post by Nathan Bransford. He talked about the abyss of a new project and wondered if anyone else felt the stress of beginning anew. I loved the fresh perspective! For me, starting new is the best. It's a baby. You have an idea of who it might be; you have some expectations based on genetics but you really never know what kind of adult he/she will grow up to be. Despite your best parenting efforts, your baby will have a mind of his own and eventually will become the person they are meant to be. But when he's new, fresh and full of potential--that's the exciting part! Now as a mom, I have to say I have LOVED every age and stage--it keeps getting better. And as an author, I hope the same is true. I hope each book I write brings me knew challenges. I hope I grow and my writing horizons expand. I hope I never stop learning and improving. So am I anxious or stressed out? No way! Bring on the new, baby!
