I am, among many other things, a writer and my first novel A Claim On Her Heart is due out in April 2007 from Wings epress. I recently went through the process of assisting an artist to design the cover for the book and what an amazing process that was! (I say assisting but really I should say commenting!) His designs were gorgeous right from the start and with a very slight tweak, Ta-da! There is the art work for a novel that took me years to write. It's almost like seeing your child for the first time. You wonder what she will look like, will she have your eyes, etc. And then she's there, in your hands and it's more amazing than you ever imagined.
